Brand Pillars

Eco Lips is a Certified B Corporation. The “B” stands for “Benefit”.

In everything we do we try to create benefit as we focus on a triple bottom line.
The Triple bottom line is simple: It puts people and planet at the same level of importance as profit. People + Planet + Profit = Sustainability

What is a B Corp?

Certified B Corporations are businesses that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose. B Corps are accelerating a global culture shift to redefine success in business and build a more inclusive and sustainable economy.

Why do B Corps Matter?

Society’s most challenging problems cannot be solved by government and nonprofits alone. The B Corp community works toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose. By harnessing the power of business, B Corps use profits and growth as a means to a greater end: positive impact for their employees, communities, and the environment.

The Triple Bottom Line: Our Three Pillars

When John Elkington coined the term “triple bottom line” in 1994, he provided a needed framework for businesses wanting to focus on more than profit alone. By measuring the financial, social and environmental performance of a business, triple bottom line accounting not only helps traditional businesses demonstrate their corporate social responsibility, it provides a useful framework for most socially responsible companies. In fact, B Lab, the nonprofit that certifies B Corporations, uses a triple bottom line framework for their B Impact Assessment.

People

We promise a better life for our customers that use our products, the farmers that grow our ingredients and our team members that bring Eco Lips to life every day. That's why we're committed to transparency, accountability and providing resources to allow our employees to excel. We work toward reduced inequality, lower levels of poverty, a healthier working environment, stronger communities, and the creation of more high-quality jobs with dignity and purpose.

Planet

From organic ingredients and all-natural packaging made with 30% less plastic (and even some 100% plastic free) to running on solar and wind power and sponsoring environmental causes and projects to enrich our communities, we work tirelessly to limit our product's impact on the planet. Environmental sustainability focuses on how we need to protect the air quality, ecosystems and sustainability of our natural resources.

Profit

Economic sustainability is all about motivating companies to abide by sustainability guidelines beyond their standard legislative requirements. Certified B Corporations balance purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. People want to work for, buy from, and invest in businesses they believe in.
