Testing Eco Lips at 22,000 feet in Chile!

02.15.2011

I'm just back from a great adventure in Chile climbing the 5th largest mountain in the Western hemisphere, Tres Cruces Sur. It was an amazing expedition in a uniquely remote part of the world. We set up camps at various points on the mountain to acclimatize, our highest camp being 19,500 feet. It's a....how do I say??...difficult to breath up there!! After a night of very little sleep, we went for the summit. It was a long hard day but all 6 of us made it. The summit of Tres Cruces is on the border between Argentina and Chile, so it was a pretty amazing panorama! Needless to say, Eco Lips performed very well up there!!! A nice reflection at the santa rosa lake on the way to the mountain

Tres Cruces Sur is the mountain on the right hand side. Yes, those are flamingos hanging out at a very interesting lake at 12,000 feet.

So glad I captured this cloud formation hugging the landscape.
