Ok, I'm not an expert in weight loss, but I have had my up and downs. 8 years ago, when I met my wife, Andrea, I lost 30 lbs over a 6 months period. The lifestyle that we created together involved mainly eating vegetarian, and included as many whole foods, or non-processed foods as possible. Andrea was an aerobics instructor at the time, so I picked up on her workout ethic and started doing a daily workout. In essence, I expended more calories, or energy, than I took in. It was and is as simple as that! I recently ran into a friend who was looking much healthier than the last time I saw him, so I asked him what diet he was on. I was completely expecting him to say Low Carb since that seems to be the big thing these days. He replied, The old fashioned wayI burn more calories than I take in. It was refreshing to hear him say this as I though this was a lost art. Kudos to everyone who is seeking better health, dont give up! Summary: Its better to make a long term lifestyle change rather than a quick fix for the short term
