This is my second consecutive blog recommending a book! I guess it tells you what I’ve been doing this long winter. Actually, I have been getting some good cold weather runs in, working out, and ice climbing on the weekends.
This book, Blue Zones, provides a new perspective on health and wellness as to how it relates to longevity. It is a quick and easy read and dives deep into the cultures of the “blue zones”, which are the areas of the world that have more centenarians, or people living over 100 years old. What I liked about the book is it allows you to draw health minded ideas from various cultures throughout the world. In a very roundabout way, you find out what elements of life provide for a longer disease free life.
