Eco Lips® Receives Approval from Non-GMO Project Verified Program

04.15.2015

Eco Lips® is now featuring a certification to guarantee its lip balms are safe and clear of any genetically modified organisms. As consumers continue to push for greater transparency and the right to make more informed purchase decisions, The Non-GMO Project Verified seal gives them an identifier to help avoid products that have been genetically altered.

According to Steve Shriver, Founder and CEO at Eco Lips, “The USDA Organic seal has the same non-gmo requirements, but consumers are now looking for the Non-GMO Project Verified seal as another guarantee that they are purchasing safe products. It took us a long time to get through the detailed process and lengthy supply-chain due diligence, nevertheless offering the best lip balm for the world doesn’t come easy!”

The current lip balm lines that have been certified Non-GMO include the following:

• Mongo Kiss - Lip balm with a kiss of bliss! Mongo Kiss™ lip balms feature certified organic ingredients and Fair Trade Certified™ Cocoa Butter infused with Mongongo Oil, a nutrient rich oil from Zambia, Africa.

• One World - Eco Lips ONE WORLD™ lip balms provide beautifully crafted organic, Fair Trade Certified™ blends with amazing moisturizing properties for the lips. Exotic oils from specific world regions provide consumers with an opportunity to connect to the source and be reminded that we all share ONE WORLD.

Eco Lips will continue to create high-quality, organic and Fair Trade Certified™ lip care products and pursue the Non-GMO Project Verified certification whenever possible.
